This afternoon my friends, the Canadian geese, dropped by to check out one of my vegetable gardens. Cute, cute, cute. Does anyone know what they eat? (flea beetles, not cabbage leaves hopefully?)

In the fall of 2007, Flora and Larry moved from Toronto (population 2 million) to the tiny, beautiful tidal village of Bear River in Nova Scotia (population 800) seeking a life filled with creative pursuits such as organic gardening, painting, and silversmithing.
Life in Bear River is frugal, but rich in all the important ways - beauty, music, artists and friendly souls...that's "Community" with a capital "C"!

Around here they eat grass, and keep it cut very neatly

Hi Louise!
They haven’t come back so far but we’ve been out a lot lately…maybe we missed them!
By the way Louise, I love the purse that you made for me. I take it everywhere…it holds an amazing amount of stuff!..drinks, camera, books, paints and more….and it looks great too!

Hi Flora, glad to hear that you are enjoying the purse. Sari got one too! If the geese keep eating your grass you won’t have to cut it! Enjoyed listening to the music.
