Spring has been cool, hot, wet, dry and all over the place. One thing is for sure, everything is a variety of rich greens. And add to that purple and yellow irises and lupins blooming everywhere. It’s almost too much for the senses.
And I am playing ‘beat the clock’ by madly painting flowers as they bloom. I have a wonderful pop-up shelter that helps to keep me safe from black flies. And when it rains outside, I go into the studio with masses of flowers and listen to podcasts as I paint. Today I heard a great interview with Nelson Mandela on CBC. That man is a true hero.
